Idura + Sportienda

Sportienda is combating fraud on peer-to-peer marketplaces, with a specific focus on buying and selling high-quality used bikes. The company purchases bikes from individuals and resells them through its webshop at a fair price, but before any sale goes through, sellers must sign a purchase agreement.

To keep the experience smooth and familiar, Sportienda integrated Norwegian BankID signing through Idura Signatures, letting sellers sign directly within Sportienda's own environment.

Fraud is a real risk when bikes cost thousands

Selling and buying high-value bikes online carries risk.

Norwegian law, specifically the Used Trade Act (Brukthandelsloven), requires sellers to verify their identity and the product details before any trade takes place.

Sportienda needed a signing process that was legally compliant, secure, and built into their own platform.

A signing experience that looks and feels like Sportienda

When a seller is ready to sign, they do so on the platform using Norwegian BankID, without leaving Sportienda’s customer environment.

With other solutions, Sportienda would have to rely on a standardized external UI. Idura's white-label option makes the signing experience look and feel like Sportienda. The API was straightforward to integrate.

Idura also gives Sportienda a clear path to market expansion. As they grow into Sweden and Denmark, Sportienda can add Swedish BankID and MitID through the same integration. No rebuilding or finding a new provider is necessary.

Verified sellers, trusted transactions

By signing purchase agreements with BankID directly inside the platform, sellers are verified, giving buyers the confidence that every transaction is trustworthy.

The transaction is fast, legally valid, and the signature stays where the sale happens.
